April 18, "My Day Today"

by James G.

At age 20, I have done my "O" levels & I'm waiting to go to pursue my course at an institute of higher learning. I spend most of the time doing the many chores in our home.
I retire in the evening at around 5:00 p.m. Basically it's enjoyable to be here with friends and people who care about you, like some of our buddies i.e Claire, Lara,& Jonathan, Paul & Stephanie. I play soccer,& also in the evening we play basketball. Today i woke up at 8:00 a.m & took a shower. I prepared myself coz i was going somewhere to say goodbye to one of my friends who's joining Kampala Int. University in neighbouring Uganda to study medicine. Twas a wonderful day.

Hello James,

My name is Gabrielle. I am Lara's sister-in-law. Congratulations on finishing your O levels. Will you go to study soon? Is it difficult to get in to a univeristy there? My husband is studying now, and lives several hours from where I live. My children and I will join him soon. I am glad you enjoy your life; it sounds as though you are surrounded with friends.

Hi James,

My name is Nadia & I live in South Africa. I am working at the moment & studying International Trade, I hope to finish this year. Me and my friends also sometimes play soccer and cricket at home but I am sure you are much better than me! I hope that it will go well with your future studies and I will make sure to come back and check on your new posts.

Love
Nadia

Hi James,

Congratulations on taking your O-levels! I'm a student also, at the University of Chicago in the US. I'm friends with Lara and Claire from when we were at university. What do you like studying? Thanks for posting your comment!

Sincerely,
Johanna

Hi James, I wish you the best as you prepare for study at the University. I'm sure that you are looking forward to beginning that phase of your life. Since you are interested in aviation and astronomy, I will assume that you are a math/science person. I have 2 daughters in college, but they are more interested in literature, history, and language. My older daughter is 21, and the younger one will turn 20 on Monday. We live very near Washington, DC in the USA, but my daughters live at school for most of the year. I look forward to hearing more from you and your friends at Tumaini.

Hi Gititi! We love reading these blogs and getting your emails. We hope things are going well at Tumaini. Have you received exam scores back yet? How are the other Form 4 Leavers doing? Please greet them all and let them know how much we miss them. We love you all so much and pray that God continues to bless you as you move into this next stage in life.

Hi James,
It was nice to read the blog from my former microscope assistant. We saw that you had the highest score for Riamukurwe School in the KCSE Exam. Congratulations! We hope that you are working hard to get admitted to university and will not let it go until the last minute. Where are you planning to go? Keep in touch so we can come and see you when we are in Kenya this year.
Many Blessings,
Mr. John

Hello James,
Did you the "Upper Room" devotional that we sent? I hope that you are reading it every day. We are praying that God will help you and all the leavers to go on for further education.
Blessings,
