Hello Mugendi,

Hope you had a fine birthday celebration. Climate in this part of America - Florida, southeast - is almost always warm, and often wet with rain every day. Not quite tropical but close.

Best regards to you!

Hi Mugendi,

hope you had a good birthday. Can't tell you about the US climate but I can tell you that where I live - Manchester, England - it rains a lot. It is a bit of a joke in Britain - "always rains in Manchester", that kind of thing - but before I moved there I didn't know how true it was. (Thankfully we do get good weather aswell just not as much as we would like ;) )

Urvi - spare us the advertising.

Dear Mugendi,

I have always heard the climate in Kenya is lovely. My husband's parents visited Kenya many years ago, and they still talk about how beautiful it was.

I live on the east coast of America in the state of Maryland. We are about 3 hours from the beach. We have 4 distinct seasons here. It is very hot and humid in the summer. Winter is cold with some snow, but not as much snow as other parts of America. Spring and summer are beautiful here: mild and pleasant with beautiful trees.

Hope to hear more from you!

Hi Mugendi,

I live in in the southern part of America in the state of Louisiana. It is hot here most of the year and extremely humid from May through September.

I enjoy reading your blog and hearing from kids in Africa. I would love to visit Africa one day.

Dear Mughendi,

It was nice hearing from you and your fellow students. I live in Syracuse, NY in the northeastern area of the United States. We get lots of snow during the winter. This past season we received a total of 3.5 meters! But right now I am enjoying the warm summer weather.

Good luck with your studies,

Best wishes,
Cathy

Dear Mugendi

I useto live in Africa, but I lived in South Africa. The weather was very nice there and was more like Kenya then where I live now. I live in Eastern America in a state called Rhode Island. In the winter it is very cold and can snow. In the Spring it rains a lot, but we don't get big thunderstorms. In the summer it is very hot. In the fall it is much cooler and is very pretty becuase all of the tree leaves change color. Both of my parents have been to Kenya and my mom is going again this year. They say it is very pretty so I want to go there soon. Maybe I will visit your town one day! I hope you enjoyed your birthday and will have many more to come.

Hi Mugendi!

My name is Melanie and I live almost in the middle of American in the state called Iowa. Summer here is usually very warm and humid. Sometimes we have tornadoes and big thunderstorms with lots of lightning. During autumn or fall, the trees turn all different colors - orange, red, yellow - and the weather is a little cooler and there is no humidity. In winter, there is lots of snow and the temperature can get very cold, even below 0, and the wind is frigid! I'm so happy when spring is finally here, because then the flowers and trees start to blossom and turn a bright green, and the earth starts to look pretty once again. God has made a beautiful world!

Mugendi-

I also live in the state of Maryland. I am very close to our capitol, Washington DC. I grew up in the state of Ohio, which is in the middle of our country. The weather there is nice. In the winter, we used to get lots of snow, sometimes two feet (0.6 meter)! In the summer, it would get hot and sometimes very humid. The winter was my favorite, because I could run and not get very hot or dehydrated.

I hope you enjoy running. It is a wonderful thing to do, and I enjoy it very much.

Hi Mugendi,

I was born and raise in Nyeri.

I now live in Alabama in the south eastern part of the United States.

It's a nice place to live and beautiful too.

It hardly ever snows in winter but it gets very cold.

It's currently summer; hot and humid -- if you've been to Mombasa, then you know what am talking about.

I like this blog, and kudos to it's creators.
